mainly Trinity Church, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Various buildings, Boston MA, USA. All taken on a happy-snapper camera so the quality of the photographs is rubbish and I've had to show mainly buildings rather than close-ups, but it does show that there are gargoyles even in Boston. Obviously not medieval, probably 20th century maybe 19th, but they are there, which surprises a lot of people. Including me. My thanks to my patiently suffering companion Dave F who had to endure this uncalled for and almost unbearable delay in sweltering heat on route to a desperately needed cold beer. Photos Aug 2001, 35-70mm Nikon 310, Kodak Gold 200.

I don't know what these buildings are called or exactly where they are in Boston (the rushed work trip was all a bit of a blur), but they're on one of the main streets somewhere downtown- ish by a square. Stop Press: Actually now I do know the main one, thanks to Terry Forrest's website (see links) which has better pictures of the same building. It's Trinity Church which is "across from the St. James Avenue side of the John Hancock tower".
