Absolutely stunning for a parish church. Lots of gargoyles in good condition, mainly caricatures of people, in two rows on each side, even one over the entrance porch. Quiet a big parish church, and very pretty. Also has strange pattern markings on the side of the tower. Photos Apr 2001 (mostly 500mm lens)
This is the right hand side of the church (nearest the road) and the grotesque over the porch.

And, not surprisingly, the other side of the church (furthest from the road, taken from the cemetery)

The tower and some wonderful flintwork.
There is some more info about the church (and a very little about the gargoyles) on the Fincham village website http://www.finchams.org/village/church.htm It mentions one looking "like a lady with the devil on her back" (I think that's the RHS Bottom Row no. 4 picture above) and "a pair figures lying flat with their feet in the air" (presumably RHS Bottom Row no. 3).
